Determine the Objectives
Our first step with a potential new client is to have a conversation about their business and discuss their objectives. This is an important aspect of the plan design process and also helps us determine whether or not our services are needed and if we are a good fit.
Review the Options
The next step is to collect census data, assess the current employee demographics and prepare a projection. By using the employer objectives as a starting point, this projection will allow us to provide a clearer picture of the potential benefits and tax savings.
Draft the Document
We then create a plan outline. The outline will list the recommended plan provisions in order to best meet the client’s goals, while providing maximum flexibility for annual contributions. Once we’ve tailored the plan design and explained the plan provisions to the client, we draft the plan document.
Plan Compliance
With the plan document in place, we will collect census data and perform the compliance testing for the plan each year. During this process we communicate with the designated plan contact to explain the funding options for that year, ensure that everything is running smoothly and that the client’s objectives are still being met.
